  • Scientifically based ecosystem conservation
  • Raising awareness about the importance of marine conservation at all levels of the community, school and youth groups, coastal fishing communities and the tourism sector

SIDS 2005 - MCMC selected for site visits

Site visits of the projects by high level delegates from the GEF, UNDP, UNEP (15-20 persons), along with local NSC members.

These delegates will be visiting the MCMC project at Aquarium Grand Baie/Pereybere as we did with Minister Baghwan. This will be on a date to be fixed yet from 15-17 January. The delegates are leaving Mauritius on 18th so we are trying to fix a date which will allow them to dive or snorkel without risk, i.e., more than 24 hours before departure. So most probably during the week-end (15 or 16). Number of participants here will be a max of 40, including the press and some NSC members. The cost of boat(s) and refreshments will be paid by SGP.

Nouveaux Locaux
